Our team
Arpoador Energia’s management team has developed more than 10,000 MW of generation projects, with extensive knowledge and experience in engineering, regulation, energy commercialization and finance. They have accumulated solid technical expertise and proven ability to lead complex negotiations and projects from different energy sources, including natural gas, coal, biomass, wind and solar power plants.

Roberto Faria
Founding partner of Arpoador Energia. Graduated in Business Administration from UCM Ipanema, with over 25 years of experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors. More than 10,000 MW of power generation projects developed in Brazil, Chile and Colombia. Specialist in new project development, fuel supply and marketing, risk assessment, financial structuring and emissions markets. Previous experiences: Steag, MPX Energia (Eneva), Copelmi Mineração. Other positions: VP of FIRJAN (Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro), Councilor of ABRAGET (Brazilian Association of Thermal Generation), Councilor of IBRAM (Brazilian Mining Institute).

Levi Souto Jr.
Founding partner of Arpoador Energia. Graduated in Electrical Engineering from UFSC, with specialization in Power Systems Planning from the same university and Electrical Systems Protection from UFRJ. He also holds an MBA in Management from FGV and in Finance from COPPEAD. He has extensive experience in power generation project development, power auctions, M&A, environmental licensing, EPC, O&M and FSA contract negotiation. Levi worked at ENEVA between 2012 and 2017 as a business development manager and director of Seival Sul, a JV mining company. Prior to that, he worked at Engie for 12 years in business development and O&M.

César Faria
Advisor and partner at Arpoador Energia. CEO of Copelmi Mineração, the largest coal mining company in Brazil with over 130 years of experience. 50 years of experience in the energy and mining sectors. Member of the advisory board of EPE, President of the National Union of the Coal Extraction Industry, Advisor of ABRAGET (Brazilian Thermal Generation Association) and IBRAM (Brazilian Mining Institute) and, Founder and Advisor of APINE (energy producer association).

Alex Farias
Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environment (PUC-Rio), MBA in Economics and Sustainability (UFRJ) and master’s degree in Public Policy, Strategy and Development (UFRJ) – with a focus on hydrogen production. He has experience in environmental licensing, environmental management, institutional/governmental relations and ESG strategy. Over the last 10 years, he has worked on the development, implementation and operation of coal, natural gas, wind, solar and natural gas exploration & production projects in the Parnaíba and Amazonas Basins. Participated in public hearings, strategic agreements involving environmental issues, due diligence on acquisition and business merger (PGN x Eneva), implementation of an Environmental Management System with the development of policies, guidelines and strategic and operational KPIs, inventory of greenhouse gases (GHG Protocol) and in conducting and preparing sustainability reports (GRI/SASB). He worked in environmental consultancy for infrastructure projects, at MPX Energia S.A and Eneva S.A.

Roberta Ghazi
Specialist in financial planning and business development in the electricity and oil and gas sector. Graduated in Production and Electrical Engineering from PUC-RJ, MBA in Finance from IBMEC-RJ and Master in Administration from IBMEC-RJ.
Experience of over 14 years developing business plan, financial modeling supporting debt raising, investor acquisition, energy sale auction, business sale and project structuring. Roberta has worked for companies such as ENEVA, NTS – Nova Transportadora do Sudeste and El Paso.

Juliane Alves
Electrical engineer (UERJ) and master’s student in Electrical Energy System (COPPE/UFRJ). In the last five years, she worked at the Energy Research Company (EPE) and Eletrobras / CEPEL, operating and developing the main energy planning models in Brazil.

Jorge Trinkenreich
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering at the Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) (1972), Master in Information Systems at PUC-Rio (1985). He holds an MBA in Electric Energy from the Economics Institute of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (1998). He was the Superintendent of Generation Planning at EPE – Energy Research Company, from 2016 to 2019. Previously, he was a consultant at PSR since 2000 and prepared numerous studies on energy supply and demand, macroeconomic assessments, economic competitiveness of different generation sources , risk analysis, among others.
He started his career at Eletrobras in 1973 where he worked for 26 years until 1999 in positions as Assistant to the Planning and Engineering Directorate, reaching the position of Executive Secretary of GCPS, from 1998 onwards.
